mono faces

I used mono printing to create these images to give it a bold and defined look, i wanted to use the same type of face structure because it seams like a sturdy and almost wise face, i say this because of the eyes and lifeless expression showing that it looks above all and over everything in order to seek  higher goal. i am fairly pleased with this but would of liked to spent more time on them. I have cropped the images on photoshop which gives it better edges.

ink faces using wood

to create this image i cut out a piece of wood using a ban saw into various different sizes and then i used black ink to dip the chosen piece of wood in to it, i then used the that piece of wood like a sponge or stamp in a pattern to create these two faces. To create the shading i just applied more or less of the black ink in the correct areas for shading.
