Scanning Process
another photo modification
Here i have changed the properties of another photo that i took to turn it into an abstract pattern, this works well because the leaf structure already looks like a pattern because of the shape of the leafs.
photo modifitcation
Here i have modified the top photo to change it into the one beneath it. I have adjusted the levels of a few things including contrast and shadow to highlight the green colour to make it more fantasy based and different.

COPYRIGHT
Who owns the Copyright of a Photograph?
• A photograph is classed as a Work of Art
• The Photographer who created the picture owns The Copyright of the image.
• Or a Company owns it if the Photographer is in the employment of that company, and takes the photograph as a part of his/her contractual duties.
How would we infringe the Copyright of a Photograph?
• By Copying it.
• If we copy a photograph in any manner (download, photocopy, re-photograph it, scan it…etc) we are infringing the photographers Copyright, and thereby breaking the law.
How can we legally copy Photographic Images?
• By gaining permission to do so from the photographer.
• If we cannot find who the photographer is after exhaustive searches, backed up by legal proof of search, then legal judgment can be made to class the photograph as ‘An Orphan Work’, thereby giving a company or individual copyright of the image. (until the creator of the image comes forth with proof of creation of the Work of Art.)
How long does copyright of a Photograph last?
• For 70 years beginning at the end of the year of the Photographer’s death.
How can we protect our own images from being copied and used commercially?
• By watermarking images that are to be in the public domain.
• By ensuring that if your images are in the public domain they are traceable back to you.
experimenting with pattern
These paintings and the biro drawing are just myself trying out painting patterns to get an abstract
pattern which i think i got especially with the bottom one.
High spots of Clevedon
These photos are taken from quite a high area to photo a large area of my hometown, Clevedon.
In succession the weather gradually gets better as i walked along the area which helped the image
by a fair bit.
photos of nature
On my walk through the woods with a camera i decided to capture a few images of the surrounding nature. I was trying to find patterns that look almost purposefully made.

modifications
I modified the way one of the arial images looked like by ajusting the curve and exposure levels to darken the lines and background of the image, which i think now stands out more and is more defined.
arial views 2
These mono prints are a combination of an arial view and an ink technique, they work well together because of the style used in the process. in sequence together they form a type of old naturally formed map of an area with a rough feel and sketchiness that really works well. I have also now added a water mark to show that its my creation.

landscape sketches 2
What you see here is the result of me trying to sketch images from out of a holiday magazine. I used
a black felt tip for a bold image, the placement of the things in the image as well as in the photo they where drawn from have used the golden ratio to achieve an image that loos and feels right to most people, this is just due to the fact that certain placement of objects in an image looks nice and is almost a cheap way to get a good picture.
